The Juan Gómez Photography website with a large headline over a desert dirt bike photo

The Juan Gómez Photography website is live, and we're glad to share the newest addition to the Digital Ohana portfolio.

Juan is a Las Vegas photographer who shoots street scenes, outdoor portraits, couples, family sessions, events and cars. His pictures have energy, so the website had to keep up: confident, easy to browse, and clear about how to book him.

The result is a custom-coded site that opens with a single line over his own work: Street photography with a unique style.

Photography first, then everything else

A photographer's site works best when the photos lead. The home page sets large type over a slow crossfade of Juan's shots, so the first screen already feels like his work and not like a template.

Each style gets its own page: portraits, outdoor, and street and action. Visitors can scroll through a gallery, open any photo full size, and move on to pricing when they're ready.

Booking that does the practical work

Many photographers still book sessions by text message, and it's easy to lose a booking in a long thread. Juan's site replaces that with a booking page built for how he works.

Clients pick a session type, a place and a date. Requests for Las Vegas and for travel are handled separately, and Juan confirms or declines each one from his own dashboard. When he confirms, a calendar invitation goes out. Every package on the pricing page also links straight to booking with that session already selected, so a client doesn't have to pick it twice.

Clients can sign in to see their upcoming sessions, and Juan collects his deposit the way he already does. Online agreements and card deposits are built in too, ready to switch on if he ever wants them.

A dashboard he can edit himself

We built the owner dashboard around one idea: Juan shouldn't have to wait for us to change a price or swap a photo.

He can edit each page's headline, wording, prices and FAQ answers in plain terms, choose which photo appears where from his own galleries, and update his contact details and social links. The site also resizes his photos for phones automatically, which keeps pages quick without him having to think about image sizes.

Fast, accessible and his own

Speed matters on a phone, and big photos are a common cause of slow pages. We resized images for each screen, self-hosted the fonts and made sure nothing jumps while a page loads. In Google's Lighthouse test on a phone, every page scored 100 for accessibility, best practices and SEO, with speed scores up to 100.

The site also sits in Juan's own accounts. The domain, hosting and email sending belong to him, which is how we set up every website we build. If you want to know how hosting and ownership work for a small business, our guide to choosing the right website hosting explains it.
