The goal

Victor Vasquez is a photographer, videographer and film editor with over seven years behind the camera, from NCAA championships to weddings, engagements and nature. He was moving from Hawaiʻi to Sarasota, Florida, and wanted a site that matched the level of his work and ran his bookings from start to finish.

The challenge

Victor's old site was a Squarespace template. It showed his photos, but everything after "I'd like to book" happened by hand: quotes, contracts, deposits and reminders over email and text. He needed a site that could take a booking, send the agreement, collect the deposit and the balance, and keep it all in one place, without him becoming a web developer.

What we built

  • A cinematic first screen. Large serif type over his own championship shot, with his specialties and where he works right underneath.
  • Galleries for every kind of shoot: weddings, sports, nature and more, each with its own page and a full-size lightbox.
  • Packages that carry through. Weddings, engagements, sports, graduations, birthdays, family, real estate and lifestyle each have clear packages, and the session a client picks follows them into booking and the agreement.
  • Online booking. Clients choose a session, a place and a time from Victor's schedule. He confirms from his dashboard.
  • Agreements signed online. From a confirmed booking, Victor creates an agreement from his own templates, sends it, and the client reads, initials and signs on their phone. Both sides get a copy.
  • Card deposits and balances. After signing, the client pays the deposit by card through Stripe, then the balance the same way. Payments are marked paid automatically and receipts go out to both sides. Zelle, Venmo or cash can still be marked received by hand.
  • An owner dashboard. Bookings, agreements, clients, messages, reviews, schedule, agreement templates and the site's own wording and contact details, all editable in plain words.
  • Speed and accessibility. Photos are resized for every screen, fonts are self-hosted and nothing jumps while a page loads. Every page scores 100 for accessibility, best practices and SEO in Google's Lighthouse test.
  • A clean move. The old Squarespace addresses redirect to the new pages, so links and search results keep working.

The result

Victor's site is live on his own domain, in his own accounts. A client can find him, pick a package, book a time, sign and pay without a single back-and-forth email, and Victor runs all of it from one dashboard.
